Assisted living #2

Inevitably, people who are sick, terminally ill, or disabled are the first to be regarded as proper subjects for medically assisted suicide. People deemed vulnerable are in danger of being ‘legally murdered’: people deemed a burden are seen as too expensive, too difficult, hard to deal with. Here’s my second haiku on assisted living / dying –

Fool if you believe
Institutionalised death
To be a kindness.
